The software has been designed as universal program for security hybrid platforms functioning concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and controls on the local and apart pcs. Users watch MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the software through network that security pc can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all modules proceed as independent software. If one module fails, other modules go on working. For instance if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture using a `playback` component. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by activity, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on remote server via Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
