The software has been created as general program for surveillance hybrid platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar look and controls on the local and apart computers. Users view MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the program through network that surveillance server can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration drastically boosts reliability because all parts operate as independent software. If one module freezes, other units go on working. For instance if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant station via Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
