The program has been created as common application for surveillance hybrid platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar look and controls on the local and distant computers. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program using net that surveillance workstation can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition significantly increases reliability because all modules act as independent programs. If one part freezes, other modules go on running. For example if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` component. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant computer using Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
