SigFig is an Excel add-in. It does the following: (1) Displays numbers in engineering format, with powers of 10 as multiples of 3. (2) Gives various digit grouping options. For example, 1.234567 can be depicted as 1. 234 567. (3) Rounds numbers off to between 3 and 17 significant figures. (4) Promotes the practice of entering number as character strings. (5) Promotes double precision in calculations.
