Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Silverlight is a web-based report designer, using what you can change the report directly in the web browser. The product is developed using the Silverlight technology and ASP.NET. There are no requirements for the developer to write complex code or a long setting of components. How it works?
To add report editing to your web-application you simply place the web-component on the ASP.NET page and invoke one method. Then the Silverlight component will be loaded in the web-browser that will continue interacting with the ASP.NET component independently. You do not need to write special contracts, to engage in lengthy configuration of parameters or have different limits on the amount of information transmitted. Where does it work?
Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Silverlight has modest requirements for the server and client side. In order to place it on the server the Windows server with support of ASP.NET 2.0 or higher is required. No need to install additional server software or special components. On the client side Silverlight 4 Runtime should be installed.

Is it compatible?
Report Designer for Silverlight uses the same file format as the rest of our products. No need to re-create all the reports. Reports built in our other products, will be easily opened in Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Silverlight and vice versa.

Is it functional?
We have tried to give our users all the functions for editing reports, which developers require. Report Designer is built on base of the Ribbon interface, which is completely similar to our other products. It is easy to learn and understand. Also easy and fast the learning curve is.
