SynJet

SynJet is a free Internet multiplayer battle flightsim for 8 players per channel. Cooperate or compete as you fly missions with your friends. Flexible mission format allows creation of new missions to share with your friends. Several aircraft included and flight mode can be set to arcade or realistic. Voluntary remote monitoring/control allows one player to act as a Flight Instructor for another. Spectator mode included. Multiple air-to-air, air-to-ground, and other weapons included. Blow anything up you like, but you specifically gain points for advancing your current mission. Of course, you are free to fly either side of the mission, to encourage its success or failure.

This game is part of the Synthetic Reality "Arcadia" family of games. (http://www.synthetic-reality.com/arcadia.htm) Players add additional channels at will using the integrated MIX server. Arcadia itself provides all networking support, in addition to text chat, voice chat, web browsing, and a parallel existence `park` environment for serenity, duck-feeding, and paintball while you wait for other players to show up. Arcadia allows you to create a personal identity with which to expose your current emotional state, and maintain a diary of other players you have met in the game.
