flame-Director is a software tool for authoring flames.

A flame is a self-contained, disposable player for audio and video playlists as well as flash based content. This can include, but is not limited to: music, games, books and podcasts, to full length feature films which may be viewed using inbuilt Home Theatre controls.

Designed to manage a mixture of mp3, swf (flash) and streaming flv media formats, flames are small (often less than 1mb), in most instances, stand-alone and require no installation. This makes them ideal for sharing via e-mail or downloadable from personal blogs, social or corporate web spaces.

flame-Director is packed full of features to find, extract, author and then present personal, corporate and viral online media in the form of flames. It automatically recognises many video sharing and public domain sites where popular and free content can often be found.

Simple to use, a flame can be created by adding a new flame title to flame-Director, then drag-and-drop links from any number of online video / audio sharing sites thus creating new content titles. You can then add descriptions and pictures to these titles. Then with one click of your mouse a new flame is created which you can then send to your friends, or place in your blog or on corporate sites for download.
