The Sleuthhound! Desktop Search brings search engine power to your PC and allows you to instantly search files, documents, email, anything. The Sleuthhound! searches Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, Acrobat PDFs, email, attachments (Pro version), ZIP and RAR archives (Power Pack version), all popular music, picture, and video formats, the browser history, and Favorites.
An easy-to use Wizard allows you to include folders and directories and entire drives into your Search Zone. The Search Zone Manager allows you to create several Search Zones and take control of what you indexed.
Easy maintenance and update of search zones is available through a built-in scheduler and can be done automatically when Windows starts by placing The Sleuthhound! in the Start-Up group.
A powerful Results Browser provides you with a view of the located file or email with all search terms highlighted. All result displays are configurable. This utility has the ability to search for files with logical operators such as "and", "or", and "not" and supports the use of wildcards. The program can search many European languages (Spanish, German, French, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian, Danish, Hungarian, and more) and display results with all accented characters.
